On May 5, the 135th Canton Fair concluded successfully in Guangzhou, and the online platform continued to operate on a regular basis.

The number of overseas buyers attending the conference reached a record high. As of May 4, a total of 246,000 overseas purchasers from 215 countries and regions had participated in the conference offline, an increase of 24.5% over the previous session and setting a new record. Among them, there were 160,000 purchasers from countries co-building the “Belt and Road”, an increase of 25.1%; 61,000 purchasers from RCEP member countries, an increase of 25.5%; 52,000 purchasers from BRICS countries, an increase of 27.6%; and 50,000 purchasers from Europe and the United States. people, an increase of 10.7%.
Export transactions showed a restorative growth trend. As of May 4, the offline export transaction volume of this Canton Fair was US$24.7 billion, an increase of 10.7% over the previous session. Emerging market merchants were active in transactions, with US$13.86 billion in transactions with countries co-building the “Belt and Road”, an increase of 13% over the previous session. The per capita price per customer in traditional European and American markets is high. Transactions on the online platform became increasingly active, with export transactions reaching US$3.03 billion, an increase of 33.1% over the previous session.
New productive forces stimulate new momentum for foreign trade. Exhibitors at this Canton Fair displayed more than 1 million new products on-site and held 334 new product debut events. Enterprises have uploaded a total of more than 2.54 million exhibits to the online platform, including 660,000 new products, 100,000 smart products, 400,000 green and low-carbon products, and 210,000 independent intellectual property products.
The import exhibition opens up new space for overseas companies. A total of 680 companies from 50 countries and regions participated in the current Canton Fair Import Exhibition, of which 64% were companies from countries co-constructing the “Belt and Road”. Many internationally renowned companies showcased smart manufacturing and high-quality home consumer products at the Canton Fair, attracting global buyers to discuss cooperation.
The online platform operates smoothly. There are 408,000 overseas buyers participating in this Canton Fair online, coming from 229 countries and regions around the world. The cumulative visits to the stores of exhibitors were 3.412 million, including 3.376 million visits to the stores of export exhibition exhibitors and 36,000 visits to the stores of import exhibition exhibitors. Exhibiting companies had a total of 1,291 online displays, with a total of 17,200 views.
